הגעתי לד"ר ברבלק לחוו"ד שניה אחרי המלצה לניתוח לשתילת תותב בעמוד השידרה . הרופא התעקש על ניתוח זעיר פולשני במקום, לטיפול בהייצרות הקשה בתעלה( יפתור את הבעייה במלואה - ניתוח הרבה יותר קל להתאוששות ).
מהרגע שהסכמתי , טיפול V.I.P (דרך ג'ני המדהימה) - בביטוח הבריאות בפרוצדורות ובכל השאר . אני רק צריך להגיע לניתוח עוד שבועיים .
הגעתי לניתוח ב"רפאל" בשעה 13:00 . נכנסתי להכנות ב- 15:00 , הניתוח הסתיים ב-17:30 וב-22:00 הלכתי על רגלי הביתה !!! .
התוצאה - בעיות שמהן סבלתי במשך כעשרים שנה, ומוגבלות תנועה קשה בשנים האחרונות מלווה בכאבים -נעלמו באחת , כלא היו מעולם.
התאוששות ?  מיידית , פשוט אדם חדש . 
אחרי שבוע התחלתי ללכת בקצב ואני ב- 10 ק"מ ליום !! והיד עוד נטוייה .
אני מצאתי את הרופא שלי - ד"ר איל ברבלק , ממליץ בחום . 
ולראיה - בני בכורי (32) יעבור ניתוח דומה אצל ד"ר איל , עקב פריצת דיסק קשה , בעוד כשבועיים :)

הרושם שיוצר דר' ברבלק הוא של מקצועיות ללא רבב. מייד מהרגע הראשון היה ברור שמדובר באיש מקצוע מעולה, מנוסה מאוד, שקול דעת, ושאתה, כמטופל, נמצא בידיים טובות ובטוחות. בנוסף, העובדה שדר' ברבלק דוגל בגישה שמרנית, שאינה ששה אלי ניתוח, רק הוסיפה להערכה המקצועית שלי אותו.
הדגש שדר' ברבלק שם על הסברת כל שלב בתהליך - החל מבחינת התסמינים, דרך הסבר מפורט על פענוח ההדמיות, ועד לדיון על האפשרויות הטיפוליות העומדות לרשותי - אפשר דיון פתוח וענייני, שהיה חריג עבורי במפגש עם רופאים בארץ.
בסופו של דבר, הוחלט על התערבות כירורגית להחלפת שני דיסקים בעמוד השדרה הצווארי, וגם כאן המקצועיות ניכרה לכל אורך הדרך - מקבלת ההחלטה, דרך תקופת טרום הניתוח, ביום הניתוח, וביצירת הקשר והמעקב שלאחר מכן.
יצא לי להתייעץ עם כמה וכמה אורתופדים וכירורגים במהלך השנים, ובמיוחד בשנה שקדמה לניתוח, ותוך שתי דקות משהתיישבתי במשרדו של דר' ברבלק היה לי מאוד ברור שזה הרופא שאני רוצה שיטפל בי.
