''I came to Dr. Itai Gat for a second opinion after visiting a doctor at a fertility clinic in my health fund and two IVF doctors at two different hospitals, and after several unsuccessful cycles that did not result in pregnancy. Dr. Gat thoroughly examined all the medical records and, following our meeting, sent me a summary with a protocol he suggested I try and an organized plan I should follow to thoroughly investigate what wasn't working. During the meeting, he was very pleasant and very professional, and gave my husband and me a completely comfortable feeling about whether we would like to transfer to him for further treatment or if we would like to continue being treated elsewhere and receive his opinion as a consultation.
Ultimately, I became his patient through Clalit Health Services. It's worth noting that I received treatment comparable to that of a private doctor in every aspect, both in terms of availability and communication, and in terms of professional care. I went through an additional, not short and not simple, journey of treatments with Dr. Gat. And with all the difficulty of dealing with one unsuccessful treatment after another, I always felt from him an attempt to think outside the box, creativity and professionalism, and above all, personal attention, care, and belief in the process, even when I was already very pessimistic.
Today I am in my seventh month of pregnancy. I didn't stay with Dr. Gat for pregnancy follow-up only because of the geographical distance, but still, with various dilemmas I had during the pregnancy, when I approached him for consultation, I always received a listening ear and professional opinion.
